Multi-Car Wreck Kills 1, Shuts Down Ga. 316
The accident closed both side of the highway Saturday afternoon.
A Lawrenceville woman was killed in a multi-vehicle crash on Ga. 316 Sunday afternoon.
The accident occurred after 3 p.m. under the Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road bridge and shut down both sides of the freeway, Gwinnett Fire spokesman Capt. Tommy Rutledge said in a press release.
The woman who died in the crash was identified as Pamela Leake, 39, of Lawrenceville, the AJC reported. She was one of four people taken to the hospital.

Rutledge said crews found six vehicles involved, including one that flipped several times. Two people were trapped and needed to be extricated from one vehicle.
Two of the injured taken to the hospital were treated and released. One was admitted, and had non-life-threatening injuries.
