Wayne Harris is a marketing communications professional with over 17 years experience managing content, marketing and communications for media and publishing companies.

In his career, Wayne has been responsible for developing publications, in-house communications, promotion and marketing campaigns for organizations including Random House Inc., Public Broadcasting and the educational publisher Elsevier. In addition, Wayne has developed advertising and branding counsel and solutions for AVIS Rent-A-Car, Columbia House, MasterCard, Oppenheimer Funds, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

In his 17 years of professional experience, Wayne successfully developed prototype and published magazines for the National Urban League and the 100 Black Men of America Inc. and American Magazine. In addition, Wayne provided marketing research support and consulting services for Urban Profiles Magazine.  

Wayne's experiences with WNET (PBS's Flagship station), Elsevier, RDI Direct Marketing, Smithsonian, and other organizations have allowed him to focus on national and global communications and marketing campaigns. Wayne is proud to bring this wealth of experience to the Patch Family and is looking forward to building relationships with community businesses and organizations as a Calendar Editor with Lawrenceville Patch.

A native Washingtonian, Wayne holds a BA in Journalism/Advertising from Temple University, an MBA from Rutgers University and an MS degree in Electronic Publishing from the Center for Publishing at New York University. Wayne currently resides in suburban Atlanta with his wife, Yolanda and two children.
