The GOP presidential candidate will take his campaign to Suwanee Saturday.
Newt Gingrich, casting an eye toward his former home state as Super Tuesday approaches, will make a campaign stop in Suwanee this week. The former U.S. House speaker from Georgia will be at Collins Hill High on Saturday, Feb. 18, from 11:30-12:15. This comes not long after a scheduled stop in Cumming on Saturday, according to a campaign spokesperson. Most major polls show Gingrich running behind Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum in the quest to oppose President Obama in November. A New York Times delegate count shows Ginrich in third place. So Super Tuesday (March 6) takes on added importance, as Georgia and Virginia, now Gingrich's home state, are among the 11 states scheduled to vote that day.
