Gwinnett Teen Reported Missing

Police seek the public's help in finding Jorge Gutierrez, 16, who was last seen Friday at Norcross High School.

Norcross Police seek the public's assistance in a missing children's case. In a Nixle alert, police said Jorge Gutierrez, 16, failed to get off the school bus after school. He was last seen Friday, Dec. 14, at Norcross High School on Spalding Drive. Gutierrez is 130 pounds and 5'6" with black hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information that can assist in helping safely locate the teenager  should call 911 or contact the Norcross Police Department at 770-448-2111.

Police: Missing Girl Was Not Abducted, Went Voluntarily

Griselda Cibrian, 14, of Glennville, was reported missing Sunday afternoon and was last seen with Raymundo Aranda-Parra, 24, of Norcross.

Norcross Police say Griselda Cibrian, the 14-year-old from Glennville who was reported missing Sunday afternoon and found in Norcross on Monday morning, went voluntarily with 24-year-old Raymundo Aranda-Parra, and it was not an abduction. The investigation so far has indicated that Cibrian and Aranda-Parra have had an online relationship for seven months, Sgt. Bill Grogan of Norcross PD said during a press conference. The Sunday incident was their third time meeting in person. Aranda-Parra picked up Cibrian in Glennville and took her to his residence in the city of Norcoss, according to Grogan. Police did not disclose the exact location because they expect to execute search warrants over the next few hours, but he is renting the home. He …

UPDATE: Missing Teen Alert

Snellville Police request assistance in locating Dorian Shell Garrett. They say she may be in Lawrenceville.

Update 7pm: Snellville Police confirm Garrett has returned home. Snellville Police are requesting the public's assistance in locating Dorian Shell Garrett, a 14-year-old girl. She is possibly a runaway and has been missing for about a week.  She is described by her family as between 5'0 and 5'4. weighs around 115 pounds and has blonde hair. She is from Snellville but may be in Monroe or Lawrenceville.  If you have seen Garrett, please call Snellville Police at (770) 985-3555, or dial 911.

You Ask, We Answer: Police Activity on Sunday on Webb Ginn Road

A reader wants to know what was going on.

A Patch reader sent us this email Tuesday morning: Ms. Evans,  This past Sunday morning there were a ton of police cars on Webb Ginn Road in Lawrenceville.  One stationed at Great Oaks Landing and one stationed further down the road towards Highway 20.  Approx. 15 police were located in Spring Arbor Sub./Div. pool area. The police were showing a picture of what appeared to be a boy about the age of 4 that was found on Webb Ginn the night before. Can you tell us what happened and was the boys parents located?  Thanks,   Janette Witt We reached out to the Gwinnett County Police Department and got this answer for our reader: This was regarding a child that was found without the parents or guardian. I would like to know how the gwinnett county police are allowed to use county property for personal use at the tax payers expense such as the police car or truck , gas prices are too high for this to be allowed it should be the same as stilling from the tax payer if they leave the county unless it is job related.   more ›
