Woodall Sets Town Hall Meetings -- On Phone and In Person

U.S. Rep. Rob Woodall announces two telephone town hall call-ins and two in-person town hall meetings in March.

U.S. Rep. Rob Woodall, R-GA, whose 7th Congressional District includes Lawrenceville, has announced the dates and times for his March Town Hall meetings with constituents. Two are telephone call-ins on Tuesdays, March 12 and 19.  In-person meetings are scheduled for Tuesday, March 26, at Lilburn City Hall, and Saturday, March 23, in Forsyth County, at the Forsyth Conference Center in Cumming. Group Asks Woodall, Congress to Avoid 'Sequester'

Georgia Fair Share presented U.S. Rep. Rob Woodall with a banner signed by Gwinnett citizens concerned about cutbacks should Congress not be able to reach an agreement. Watch the video of the group presenting the 35-foot petition to Woodall's office.

With the clock ticking in Washington, D.C., protestors held a rally asking Congress to reach a deal before drastic cuts-- referred to "sequestering--" go into effect on March 1st. The group Georgia Fair Share gathered outside the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center in Lawrenceville Thursday morning holding up a 35-foot banner. The banner was made up of dozens of pages of signatures from concerned Gwinnett citizens. They then rolled up the banner, walked to Congressman Rob Woodall's office and delivered the petition to his office. Woodall Speaks About Iowa Straw Poll

Congressman Rob Woodall says results were interesting and Georgia is lucky to have two candidates in the race.

Congressman Rob Woodall addressed the Rotary Club of Lawrenceville at a luncheon on Monday, August 15th. Following his presentation to the group, Lawrenceville Patch asked his opinion of this past weekend's Iowa Straw Poll in which Michelle Bachman came out on top. Woodall said this is just the beginning. The congressman told Patch Georgia was lucky to have two candidates, Cain and Newt Gingrich, in the race. Watch the video to see Woodall's comments. Rep. Woodall Responds to 'Jobs Not Cuts' Rally

The congressman responded to the rally held in front of his Lawrenceville office Wednesday morning.

Patch asked Congressman Woodall for a response to Wednesday's "Jobs Not Cuts" rally, organized by MoveOn Gwinnett and held outside his office at the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center. “The concerns Moveon.org shared highlights the division between Republicans and Democrats today," Woodall said Thursday. Woodall Calls Water Decision a "Major Step for Gwinnett"

The Congressman issued a statement regarding the overturn on the use of water from Lake Lanier.

Congressman Rob Woodall (R) issued the following statement: “Tuesday’s court decision about the intended purpose of Lake Lanier was a major step forward for Gwinnett county and metro-Atlanta.  This decision affirms what many Georgia officials involved in the tri-state water discussions have advocated for years, that the Lake Lanier Reservoir was meant to supply northeast Georgia’s families and businesses with a steady and adequate supply of water.  With this decision there is now an honest foundation on which the three Governors can proceed in their discussions on how to responsibly manage the water supply from the ACF river basin, which we must all share.  The best conservation techniques in the world wouldn’t help to counter a complete …
