How Gwinnett Precincts Voted in the 2012 Election

Mitt Romney won 98 of Gwinnett's 156 precincts.

On Election Day 2012, Mitt Romney drew 54 percent of the Gwinnett County vote by winning 98 of the county’s 156 precincts. According to unofficial results available on the Georgia Secretary of State website, Romney finished with 159,563 votes, compared to 131,879 for President Barack Obama, who won re-election nationwide. Romney dominated the vote in the county from Peachtree Corners up the Chattahoochee River to Buford, across the northern part of Gwinnett to Dacula and through a swath mostly north of U.S 78 between Snellville and Lilburn. Donald Trump Makes His Big Announcement

Trump is asking President Obama to release his college and passport records and applications in exchange for a $5 million donation to the charity of the President's choice. What do you think about this announcement?

Since the final presidential debate, billionaire and Mitt Romney supporter Donald Trump has said he will be making a major announcement that will shake up the presidential race. On Wednesday, Trump made that announcement on YouTube. In the video, Trump calls Obama "the least transparent president in the history of this country." He is now asking the President to release his college and passport records and applications. In exchange, Trump will donate $5 million dollars to the charity of Obama's choice. What Time is the Last Presidential Debate?

What time does the final face-off between President Obama and Gov. Romney start and where can you watch it?

Tonight is the third and final presidential debate before the November 6th election. The debate between President Barack Obama and Gov. Mitt Romney begins at 9pm. It airs on the four major broadcast networks, PBS, CNN and more. Tonight's debate will be moderated by CBS' Bob Schieffer, host of CBS' Face the Nation. If you are unable to get to a television, you may also watch the debate live here on Lawrenceville Patch. Ann Romney Coming to Gwinnett

Wife of Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney will be appearing at a fundraiser in Duluth and another in Johns Creek.

Ann Romney, the wife of Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, is scheduled to appear at fundraising events in Duluth and Johns Creek this coming Thursday. Mrs. Romney will be greeting supporters of her husband’s victory campaign and posing for photos with them at a VIP Reception at Sugarloaf Country Club at 5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, for contributions of $2,500 per person or $5,000 per couple. A general reception at $1,000 per person follows at 5:30 p.m. Making a commitment to raise or donating $5,000 to the campaign allows the donor to serve on the Host Committee. Cheering Fans Greet Florida Sen. Marco Rubio at Book Signing

The Florida Senator made a stop a Discover Mills Mall in in Lawrenceville, Ga. as part of his book tour. Many at the event hope Marco Rubio will be named Mitt Romney's running mate.

A long line of political fans snaked through Books-A-Million in Lawrenceville Thursday. They were waiting to see the latest superstar in the Senate—Marco Rubio. The Florida Senator’s tour promoting his new autobiography “An American Son: A Memoir,” made a stop at Discover Mills Mall the day after Independence Day. Fans like Debbie Houston of Lilburn waited for more than an hour to get Rubio’s autograph. Houston said she’s excited about Rubio as a politician because “he’s young, he’s well-spoken, he’s conservative.”  Mollie Hagger won’t be voting in November’s election because she’s only 16. Hagger, a junior a Chattahoochee High School in Johns Creek, is civically involved although she still has two years before she is able to vote. “I …

U.S. Senator Marco Rubio signed books at Books-A-Million bookstore at Discover Mills Mall in Lawrenceville, Ga. Thursday afternoon. The Republican from Florida was in town to promote his new autobiography "An American Son." Many Republicans hope Rubio will be Mitt Romney's pick as a running mate in the upcoming Presidential election. Patch will have more on this story.

Rubio Book Signing Time Changed

Florida Senator Marco Rubio moved his visit to Lawrenceville, Ga. to an earlier time next week.

Florida Senator-- and possible Vice-Presidential candidate-- Marco Rubio has pushed up the time of his book signing on Thursday, July 5th. The free event will begin at noon at the Books-A-Million at Discover Mills Mall. It was originally slated to start at 7pm. Rubio will sign copies of his new auto-biography “An American Son: A Memoir."  Political pundits speculate the young Rubio, the son of Cuban immigrants, could be Mitt Romney's pick for Vice-President. Santorum's Out, Should Gingrich Follow?

Rick Santorum Announced he's dropping out of the presidential race Tuesday. Should Georgia's Newt Gingrich bow out as well?

On Tuesday afternoon, Rick Santorum announced he's suspending his bid for the White House.  USA Today reports Santorum said "We made the decision over the weekend to suspend this campaign." He continues,"While this presidential race is over for me, we are not done fighting... We are going to continue to fight for the Americans who stood up and gave us that air under our wings." Santorum said the hospitalization of his daughter Bella Friday night made him stop and think about his role as a parent. Since the former Pennsylvania Senator is suspending his campaign, he still will be able to raise funds. Meanwhile, Georgia's own Newt Gingrich is still on the campaign trail.
