Two Men Admit to Robbing Woman at Lawrenceville Walmart

Essien Lundie and Rarrekcus Delbridge, both of Lawrenceville, were both taken into custody.

Two Lawrenceville men have admitted to robbing a woman inside a Lawrenceville Walmart last week. According to Gwinnett County jail records, both Essien Lundie and Rarreckus Delbridge were arrested and charged with robbery. The Lawrenceville Police report states that the incident took place around 7:58 p.m. Friday, April 19, at the Walmart located at 1400 Lawrenceville Highway. The victim told police that two men had asked her where the lingerie section was, grabbed her wallet from her cart and ran out the store. She said they were still on the premises in the back of the parking lot. The officer spoke with the three men they found there. Police Seek Public’s Help in Search of Robbery Suspect Who Stole $20,000 Atlanta Police Investigators have released a photo of a key suspect in an armed robbery that netted $20,000. A reward of up to $2,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and indictment of the person or persons responsible. According to APD officers, "on 02/13/2013 at 12:20 PM, two suspects robbed the victim at gunpoint at 1960 Perkerson Road SW." The department has said that the victim works for some sort of ATM delivery service and "picks-up and delivers money for ATM machines." UPDATE: Third Suspect in Lawrenceville Bank Robbery in Custody

Marcus Rashed Rutledge was wanted in connection to an armed robbery at a Wells Fargo in Lawrenceville, Ga. in December.

UPDATE Wed 9:55am - The Gwinnett County Sheriff's website has update Rutledge's entry. He has been charged with armed robbery and is being held without bond. His address is listed as 2800 Herrington Woods Ct, Apt. 4-201, Lawrenceville. According to the Gwinnett County Sheriff's website, the third suspect in an armed robbery at a Lawrenceville bank in December is now in their custody. Marcus Rashed Rutledge was booked into the Gwinnett County Detention Center at 5:15pm Tuesday.  Gwinnett County Police believe Rutledge was one of the gunmen who held up the Wells Fargo on Lawrenceville Highway on December 28th. Second Bank Robbery Suspect Turns Self In

Thomas Birdsong of Decatur, Ga. turned himself in following media coverage of last month's armed robbery at a Lawrenceville bank.

Gwinnett County Police now have two of the three suspects who they say were involved in the armed robbery of a Wells Fargo on Lawrenceville Highway in December in custody. GCPD spokesman Cpl. Jake Smith says Thomas Edward Birdsong, 41, of Decatur turned himself in on Thursday, Jan. 3rd. That was the day GCPD released video and photos of the robbery and suspects to the media. Smith says Birdsong saw that coverage and turned himself in. Birdsong allegedly acted as a lookout during the robbery while Jamar Terrell of Lawrenceville and Marcus Rutledge went inside to rob the bank according to Smith.  “We believe the original plan was for Terrell and Rutledge to abandon the car in the grocery store parking lot and drive off with Birdsong,” Smith …

Suspects in Walgreens Armed Robbery Arrested

The two, one of whom is a juvenile being charged as an adult, were arrested for allegedly robbing the Lawrenceville, Ga. drugstore at gunpoint. One of them cut his own hand during the crime.

Gwinnett County Police say they have arrested two people for the armed robbery of a Lawrenceville Walgreens last week. According to the police report, a 16 year old male from Lawrenceville was identified as the person who went into the drugstore at 2500 Old Norcross Road Friday. The teen fit the description provided by a Walgreens employee as a white male with carrot hair wearing a white T-shirt, blue jeans, a black hat and black bandana.  Police decided to charge the teen as an adult after learning he used a .22 caliber revolver, along with a knife, during the robbery. Police Searching for Purse Snatcher

The robbery happened at the Bethesda Walk shopping plaza in Lawrenceville, Ga.

Gwinnett County Police are asking for your help in identifying a suspect who reportedly snatched a purse from a woman. On April 17th at around 10:15pm, the female victim was closing up the Western Union at the Bethesda Walk shopping center at 3059 Lawrenceville Hwy. Police say as the woman was leaving and locking the door, a gray Chevy Impala pulled up near her. A man got out of the car, snatched the purse from the woman's hands, and sped off in the Impala. The suspect is described as a black male in his early 30s, about six feet tall and weighing between 150 and 170 pounds. He was driving a 2006-2012 gray Chevrolet Impala. Police Arrest Lawrenceville Woman for Bank Robbery

GCPD says a tipster called in after seeing the story on the news and helped them break the case.

Gwinnett County Police have arrested 58 year old Johnette Pinkerton for reportedly robbing the SunTrust Bank at 2171 Pleasant Hill Road in unincorporated Duluth Tuesday.  After seeing the story in the news, a tipster called detectives and Pinkerton was identified as a result. Detectives compared Pinkerton's ID photos to security video and determined them to be a match.  Police say Pinkerton went in to the SunTrust Bank and gave the teller a threatening note demanding money. The teller gave Pinkerton $3,000 in cash and the suspect left, driving off in a light green passenger car.  Pinkerton was arrested at her home on Country Court in Lawrenceville without incident. She's currently in custody at the Gwinnett County Detention Center without …

GCPD Releases Surveillance Video of Armed Robberies

Police are looking for a man who reportedly robbed 13 businesses at gun point.

Gwinnett County Police need your help in finding the man in this video. GCPD Cpl. Jake Smith says he's responsible for 13 armed robberies in Gwinnett County. Police were first called to Appliance Solutions on Buford Hwy in Doraville on November 30th, 2011. The most recent incident was at the Boost Mobile at 575 W. Pike St. in Lawrenceville on January 10th. "Typically in these armed robbery series we see escalating violence. Not all the time, but frequently we do see that. So it is a concern in this case," said Smith The suspect made off with $400 to $1,000 in almost every instance said Smith. Gwinnett County Police Need Help Identifying Suspects

GCPD said a car was stolen in Stone Mountain and the victim's credit card used at a Lawrenceville store.

According to an incident report filed on May 9th with the Gwinnett County Police, a Gwinnett County woman's car was broken into at her home in unincorporated Stone Mountain by two white males in their late teens or twenties.  The victim’s camera, iPod and purse - including her identification and credit cards - were taken from the vehicle.  “The detective has worked the case to the exhaustion of all leads,” said GCPD Cpl. Jake Smith.  On May 10th, the suspects used the victim's credit card at the Walmart located at 1400 Lawrenceville Highway. UPDATED: Man Killed in Snellville Home Invasion

Marvin Tyus was shot and killed in his home late Monday afternoon, and now police are searching for suspects.

UPDATED: 1 p.m., April 4, 2011 One man is dead following an afternoon home invasion in the unincorporated area of Snellville, according to Gwinnett County police. Police have identifed the man as Marvin Tyus, 48. Cpl. Jake Smith said the apparent home invasion and shooting happened about 4:22 at 4695 Anderson-Livsey Lane. Tyus was shot once, police said. Responding officers provided first aid and requested an ambulance for Tyus.  The victim was then taken to a local hospital where he died from his injuries, police said. Police said there were no other injuries reported. After getting news of her husband's death, Tyus's wife screamed and fell to the ground. She could be seeing crouching on the front lawn and crying.
