Woodall Responds to 'Jobs Not Cuts' Rally

The congressman responded to the rally held in front of his Lawrenceville office Wednesday morning.

Patch asked Congressman Woodall for a response to Wednesday's "Jobs Not Cuts" rally, organized by MoveOn Gwinnett and held outside his office at the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center. “The concerns Moveon.org shared highlights the division between Republicans and Democrats today," Woodall said Thursday. "One side believes that government spending creates jobs, while I and other conservatives know that excessive government borrowing destroys jobs. I remain focused on job creation and am committed to continuing our work in the House to rein in borrowing, which will lead to a more stable economy." Rally to Protest Proposed Briscoe Field Expansion

Citizens for a Better Gwinnett to oppose airport expansion at BOC meeting

Members of Citizens for a Better Gwinnett are planning a rally to protest the potential expansion and commercialization of Briscoe Field. The rally is scheduled to take place Tuesday (Feb. 22) at the Gwinnett County Commission meeting. Event organizers said the purpose of the rally is to let commissioners know citizens are paying attention to discussions and developments regarding future plans for the Lawrenceville airport. C4BG members plan to address the commission at the conclusion of the regular business. The Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners meets at the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center, 75 Langley Drive, Lawrenceville.
