After months of discussion, the Lawrenceville City Council voted to approve the re-zoning of a corner entering Downtown to accommodate a new QuikTrip and Wendy's on Monday evening. The location will be at 181 Scenic Hwy. There is already a Wendy's on this plot. A new fast food restaurant will be built on the back end of the lot. The gas station and convenience store will be at the front of the property. Discussion about the issue lasted for over an hour Monday night. The council heard from QT representative, supporters and opponents. The council split the vote 2-2. Councilmembers P.K.
