Publix Issues Voluntary Recall on Deli Tri Fruit and Grain Salad

The products could be infected with Listeria monocytogenes.

Publix Super Markets has issued a voluntary recall for Publix Deli Tri Fruit and Grain Salad since it may be adulterated with Listeria monocytogenes. The company was notified of the potential contamination from their supplier, Allison's Gourmet Kitchens, according to a press release on the U.S. Food and Drug Administration website. Publix Deli Tri Fruit and Grain Salad, UPC # 41415-39662, was distributed in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and Tennessee. Product was sold in pre-packaged 12 ounce containers, and this recall involves all product sold from December 2012 through March 26, 2013. Publix Recalls Dog Treats

Four products are being recalled by the supermarket chain due to "regulatory inconsistencies" with the Chinese-made treats.

Publix has issued voluntary recalls of four separate Chinese-made dog treat products it sells in its stores. Beginning on Jan. 9, the chain issued recalls for Waggin' Train Dog Treats and Milo's Kitchen Dog Treats. Two days later, more recalls were issued for Publix Chicken Tenders Dog Chew Treats and Cadet Brand Chicken Jerky Treat. “As part of our commitment to food safety, including that of our four-legged family members, potentially impacted product has been removed from all store shelves,” said Maria Brous, Publix media and community relations director in a press release.
