Lawrenceville Father Pleads Guilty to Stabbing Sons to Death

Elvis Garcia-Nolasco will spend at least 20 years behind bars for the 2011 murders of two of his young children.

On Tuesday, a Lawrenceville father pleaded guilty to charges he killed two of his children. Elvis Garcia-Nolasco pleaded guilty to two counts of murder and one count of aggravated assault according to WSB-TV. According to police, in February 2011, Garcia-Nolasco stabbed his three children at a home on Bridle Path Drive in unincorporated Lawrenceville. Bradley Garcia, 3 and Edward Garcia, 1, died in the attack. Another child who as also 3 at the time survived. Police initially charged another man with the murders of the children, but later found new evidence linking Garcia-Nolasco to the crime. Investigators say the father tried to set up the initial suspect in a custody battle with the children's mother. Garcia-Nolasco was sentenced to …

Suspect in Lawrenceville CVS Murder Arrested

Gwinnett County Police arrested Jamad Wallace of Stone Mountain, Ga in connection to the murder of a man at a Lawrenceville drug store in 2012.

After a nearly nine month search, Gwinnett County Police have arrested a suspect in the murder of a man at a CVS in unincorporated Lawrenceville. Jamad Wallace, 21 of Stone Mountain, was arrested Wednesday in Dekalb County and taken to the Gwinnett County Detention Center. Wallace is charged with murder in relation to the death of Alex Delgado Ramos, 27 of Lawrenceville last year. On March 4, 2012, officers responded to a shooting at the CVS at 1187 Grayson Highway at around 10pm. Ramos was found outside the drugstore with a gunshot to the left side of his head. Accused Child Murderer Brought Back to Lawrenceville from Mexico

Christian Vasquez was tracked down in Mexico for the 2007 murder of a 3 year old girl in unincorporated Lawrenceville, Ga.

Accused child murderer Christian Vasquez is now in custody at the Gwinnett County Detention Center. According to the Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office's website, Vasquez was booked into the jail Thursday at 9:21pm. Vasquez was arrested July 2012 in Puebla, Mexico following a joint investigation by Mexican authorities, The Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office, Gwinnett County District Attorney’s Office, The Federal Bureau of Investigations and the Department of Justice. On June 21, 2008, arrest warrants for Vasquez were obtained, charging him with the murder of a three year old girl at a home on Stillwater Lane in unincorporated Lawrenceville. The crime occurred in either January or February of 2007, but was not reported to police until June …

Lawrenceville Man Arrested in Connection to Murder of Woman in Norcross

Gwinnett Police have charged Omar Santana, 25 of Lawrenceville in relation to the murder of 21 year old Malia Ross in December.

Gwinnett County Police have made an arrest in the murder of a Norcross woman last December. After searching a Lawrenceville home, police charged Omar Santana, 25 of Lawrenceville with felony murder, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and aggravated assault. Investigators found evidence of drug sales and evidence from the homicide of Malia Ross, 21, inside the home at on Daniel Lane in unincorporated Lawrenceville. Early in the morning on December 9, 2012, GCPD responded to a call of a shooting at 4161 Phil Niekro Parkway in unincorporated Norcross. Police identified the victim as Ross. Lawrenceville Man Arrested in Connection to Murder Near Mall of Georgia

Gwinnett County Police say 22 year old Michael Thomas Clark was an acquaintance of the victim.

On Wednesday evening, Gwinnett County Police were called to 1869 Appaloosa Lane in Buford for a call of shots fired. When they arrived, they found the body of 19 year old Trevon Watson of Buford. Police say a small amount of marijuana was found near the victims body. GCPD announced on Thursday morning that they now have a suspect in custody, and say he was friendly with the victim. Michael Thomas Clark, 22, of Lawrenceville was arrested later Wednesday night. Clark charged with murder, aggravated assault and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. Clark is currently being held at the Gwinnett County Detention Center without bond.

Robbery May Be Motive for Lawrenceville Homicide

Gwinnett County Police have released new details in the Thanksgiving Eve stabbing death of a 64 year old woman in unincorporated Lawrenceville, Ga.

Gwinnett County Police say robbery or burglary may be the motive for the killing of a woman at her home in unincorporated Lawrenceville. On Wednesday, Nov. 21, police were called to the home of Parviz Moledina at 1403 Alamein Drive. GCPD now says she was found in her bedroom and had been stabbed more than 20 times. Investigators do not know if the suspects knew Moledina was home at the time.  Moledina's Volvo was reported missing from her home. The investigation into the victim's missing car began on Thanksgiving Day.  "One of GCPD’s LPR (License Plate Reader) equipped patrol cars had recently scanned the victim’s vehicle in Lawrenceville," said GCPD Cpl. Man Charged with Murdering 4 Reverses Plea to Guilty

Richard Ringold was on trial for killing four people at a Lawrenceville, Ga. home in 2009.

Just before a 7 year old survivor was set to testify in a murder trial, the man accused of killing four people in a Lawrenceville home changed his plea to guilty. According to CBS Atlanta, Richard Ringold reversed his plea mid-trial Tuesday. He is charged with the murders of Atania Butler, her 11 year old daughter and two of Butler's friends at Butler's home in August 2009.  Ringold will avoid the death penalty, and Butler's 7 now year old daughter, who witnessed the entire tragedy, will not have to take the stand. Trial in Quadruple Homicide Underway

Richard Ringold is accused of killing his girlfriend and three others at a Lawrenceville home in 2009. This is Gwinnett County's first death penalty case since 2005.

Opening arguments in the trial of a man accused of killing his girlfriend and three others in Lawrenceville in 2009 were expected to begin Friday, according to WSB Radio. Richard Ringold is suspected of shooting and killing his girlfriend, Atiana Butler, her 11 year old daughter and two others at Butler's home in Lawrenceville. Butler's then 4 year old daughter survived the shooting and is expected to testify. Another woman who managed to escape the house is also scheduled to take the stand. WSB Radio reports Ringold pleaded not guilty and said he was playing video games with friends at the time of the murders.

GCPD Seeking Witnesses to Homicide Near Gwinnett Place Mall

A young woman was found behind the Hertz Rent-a-Car near the intersection of Satellite Boulevard and Merchants Way at about 5 p.m. Friday. She was transported to the hospital, but did not survive.

The Gwinnett County Police Department is investigating a homicide that happened at about 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, near the intersection of Satellite Boulevard and Merchants Way near the Gwinnett Place Mall. Police say Monique Marlowe, believed to be about 25 years old, was found behind the Hertz Rent-a-Car adjacent to the Gwinnett County Transit pick-up/drop-off hub. Marlowe was transported to Gwinnett County Medical Center where she was later pronounced dead.  According to a media release distributed just after 11 p.m. Friday, the victim was a Hertz employee who was shot while attending to a vehicle behind the building. Homicide Reported at Lawrenceville Apartment Complex

Gwinnett County Police say they found a man dead outside a building at the Wesley Saint Claire Apartments in Lawrenceville, Ga.

Early Saturday morning, Gwinnett County Police received a call of gunshots at a Lawrenceville apartment complex. The caller said there was a man on the ground outside the 700 building of the Wesley Saint Claire Apartments on Sweetwater Road. When officers arrived, they found a black male dead on the ground. Officers also found bullet holes in the door of an apartment in the 700 building. When they asked the man who lived in that unit, he told officers that he was the victim of a home invasion burglary. The resident claimed there was a second suspect but police were not able to track that person down. The resident was taken to the Central Precinct for questioning.  GCPD will continue to investigate.
