Two Men Admit to Robbing Woman at Lawrenceville Walmart

Essien Lundie and Rarrekcus Delbridge, both of Lawrenceville, were both taken into custody.

Two Lawrenceville men have admitted to robbing a woman inside a Lawrenceville Walmart last week. According to Gwinnett County jail records, both Essien Lundie and Rarreckus Delbridge were arrested and charged with robbery. The Lawrenceville Police report states that the incident took place around 7:58 p.m. Friday, April 19, at the Walmart located at 1400 Lawrenceville Highway. The victim told police that two men had asked her where the lingerie section was, grabbed her wallet from her cart and ran out the store. She said they were still on the premises in the back of the parking lot. The officer spoke with the three men they found there. Police: Drugged Woman Charged at Hotel Employee With Shovel

The incident happened at a Holiday Inn in Lawrenceville, Ga.

A woman has been arrested in connection to charging at a hotel employee with a shovel and possession of drugs. According to the Lawrenceville Police report, the incident occurred around 3:22 a.m. March 10 at the Holiday Inn located at 520 John B. Wilson Ct. in Lawrenceville. The front desk employee told police that, while he was in the lobby changing the clock for Daylight Saving Time, he noticed a woman looking over the balcony at him. He asked her if she needed anything and he said that she simply looked at him and began breathing heavily. She eventually turned and ran to her room on the second floor without saying anything. Ex-Boyfriend: I'll See You At Your Brother's Funeral

A Lawrenceville woman reported to police that her ex-boyfriend is harassing her and her brother via cell phone to the point of threatening them.

A Lawrenceville woman reported to police that her ex-boyfriend was repeatedly harassing her and even threatened her and her brother. According to the Lawrenceville Police report, the 19-year-old woman told officers that her ex-boyfriend, 17, won't leaver her alone. They broke up in February two weeks before, she said, and she moved out of their shared apartment. He calls her cell phone frequently since he refuses to give up on the relationship, the report says. The victim showed police multiple text messages from him that were meant for her brother. In the texts, her ex said that if she didn't meet with him, she would see him at her brother's funeral. Lawrenceville Man Dies Following Car Crash Sunday

The incident occurred around 4:15 p.m. off Springlake Road near Saddle Shoals Drive in Lawrenceville, Ga.

A man died from a car crash Sunday in the city of Lawrenceville. According to Sgt. C.D. Ralston of the Lawrenceville Police Deparment's Special Operations Division, 21-year-old Lawrenceville resident Sabrija Alic was driving  on Springlake Road near Saddle Shoals Drive around 4:15 p.m. His black Honda was traveling west when he lost control of the car. The vehicle left the roadway and drove into several trees. Alic was transported to Gwinnett Medical Center where he died from his injuries. No further details are available at this time, according to police. The incident is currently under investigation by the department's accident investigation unit.

Man Claims Ex-Girlfriend Set Him up for Kidnapping, Robbery

The victim told Lawrenceville Police the incident occurred around Hurricane Shoals Road and Wellness Way. One man has been arrested in connection to the incident.

The victim of a kidnapping and armed robbery incident that took place in Lawrenceville believes his ex-girlfriend set him up.  According to the Lawrenceville Police report, four men allegedly grabbed the victim, a 24-year-old man from Dacula, while he was in his ex-girlfriend's car off Hurricane Shoals Road and Wellness Way the evening of Feb. 23. The men dragged him inside their Ford Expedition, according to the victim, and they kept punching and hitting him with the butt of a pistol. They drove him around the city, had him take off all his clothes and continued to threaten and beat him for 20 minutes. Afterward, the suspects pushed him out of the car off Maltbie Street, where he was able to somewhat dress himself and walk to a location …

Subway in Lawrenceville Robbed at Gunpoint

An off-duty officer was in the parking lot when the robbery occurred and chased them, but lost sight of them when they entered the nearby woodline.

A Subway in Lawrenceville was robbed at gunpoint earlier this month. According to the Lawrenceville Police report, the incident occurred around 7:45 p.m. Feb. 4 at the 316 Grayson Highway restaurant. The victim, an employee of the Subway, told police that he was emptying the trash outside in the back when he observed two or three people coming his way through a nearby field. One of them approached him and asked if he had a cigarette. He said no, and the man walked toward the front of the eatery. Another man in the group approached him and commented about how it was cold that night. UPDATE: Fallen Tree Limb Causes 3-Car Accident

The tree limb reportedly broke in Lawrenceville during Monday's strong rain. The driver of a Lawrenceville city truck was in critical condition.

Update, 3:05 p.m.: One of the vehicles involved in the accident is a City of Lawrenceville truck. The driver is listed in critical condition, officials said. The driver of a second pickup was also taken to a hospital. At about 1:45pm, Lawrenceville Police report a tree limb has fallen onto the road and caused a three vehicle accident. According to LPD's Capt. Gregory Vaughn, the limb fell on Stone Mountain Street near Constitution Ave and hit at least one of the cars.  Two people were seriously injured and taken to the hospital.  Vaughn says Monday afternoon's heavy rainstorm may have played a factor in the accident.  The section of Stone Mountain Street is closed during this accident investigation. Victim Identified in Fatal Crash at Buford Drive and Hurricane Shoals Road

One fatality and four other minor injuries were reported at a crash that caused traffic light outage and major traffic delays in Lawrenceville on Oct. 5.

One person was killed and four others were transported to Gwinnett Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries after a crash at the intersection of SR 20 and Hurricane Shoals Road in Lawrenceville on Friday, Oct. 5. The Lawrenceville Police Department stated in a press release that fifty year old Lawrenceville resident Kim Nguyen died at the scene of this accident which caused traffic light outages and major traffic delays. According to the press release, Phuoc Thach, a 51 year old male, was traveling south on Buford Drive and attempted to turn left onto Hurricane Shoals Road. Thach's vehicle was struck by a Freightliner truck that was traveling Northbound. The Freightliner was being driven by Lucio Lopez, also of Lawrenceville. Thach's…

Motorcylist Arrested After High Speed Police Chase

A Loganville man was arrested Friday night after leading a Lawrenceville police officer on a high-speed chase that reached speeds of up to 143 mph on Hwy 316.

  Jose Andres Mezu, 28, of 71 Wilkes Drive, Loganville, was arrested and now faces a slew of charges after running from Lawrenceville police on Friday night. The chase started after Mezu was initially clocked at about 8:17 p.m. riding his motorcycle on Highway 124 at 72 mph. The speed limit is 45 mph. When he was finally caught, Mezu had run up several more speeding charges, including up to 129 mph on Highway 124, 98, 109 and 114 mph on Sugarloaf Parkway and 143 mph on SR 316. Police report that Mezu weaved in and out of traffic at these high rates of speed, avoided road blocks by other officers, jumped concrete gores and ran red lights in his efforts to avoid police.
