Mr. Lawrence Bennett of Lawrenceville, age 78. After a long and courageous battle with cancer, Mr. Lawrence O. Bennett passed away on September 1, 2011. Born in Augusta, GA , Mr. Bennett grew up in North Augusta, SC. He later moved with his family to Miami, Fl where he attended the University of Miami and received his BS degree in Botany and Zoology. Mr. Bennett served his country in the US Army Medical Corp during the Korean War stationed in Germany. His working career spanned 40 years with the General Service Administration where he retired as a Director.
