Sliding Glass Door Smashed and Multiple Items Missing From Lawrenceville Home

A residential burglary in Lawrenceville was reported on June 19.

Gwinnett County Police responded to call in the 2000 block of Rocky Mill Drive in Lawrenceville on June 19. Upon arriving the victim reported to officers that she had arrived home from work at approximately 5:40 p.m. to find the sliding glass door on the upper floor of her home smashed out. The victim stated her husband had left the home around 11 a.m. and that although the home does have a burglar alarm, it may not have been set prior to his leaving. Multiple items were reported missing from the home including a TV, PlayStation 3, Blu Ray player, laptop and stereo.

Shoplifter Caught Stealing Allergy Medicine at Lawrenceville Target

After being caught shoplifting, suspect gives officers false information.

GCPD responded to a call at the Lawrenceville Target on June 18. A loss prevention officer at the store reported catching a suspect who was shoplifting medication. The loss prevention officer stated he observed the suspect as he put a box of Coricidin Allergy Medication into his pocket and proceeded to walk past the point of purchase with the item concealed in his pocket. Two store officers then confronted the suspect who made what was described as "an aggressive move" towards the officer. The suspect was placed in handcuffs for his own safety. At the scene, the suspect admitted to a GCPD officer that he had stolen the medication and had made a mistake, however he stated he wanted to take the pills. Lawrenceville Woman Returns to Find Home Burglarized

Items missing from home break-in in Lawrenceville.

Gwinnett County Police were called to a home on the 3000 block of Windwood Trail in Lawrenceville on Feb. 14 in response to a burglary.  According to a police report a female victim stated that she had left her home at 11 a.m. and when she returned at 3:25 p.m. she found her garage door opened half way. The victim proceeded to open the garage door with the remote and noticed that the door to her house was also open. The victim then went around the house onto her rear deck, looked inside and saw that her refrigerator doors were opened and the lights were on. She returned to her vehicle and called the police. Upon arrival police noted that the back door had been kicked in. No suspects were found inside the house and neighbors stated they did…

Police Respond to Armed Robbery

Nu Energy Foods on Herrington Road in Lawrenceville fell victim to an armed robbery.

Gwinnett County Police responded to a reported armed robbery at Nu Energy Foods on Herrington Road in Lawrenceville on Aug. 26. According to police reports, a known customer entered the store, approached the counter and pointed a silver revolver at the cashier, demanding money and “the book.” The suspect then fled on foot, heading toward Old Norcross Road. A total of $2,131 was stolen from the cash drawer as well as a receipt book detailing store transactions. The suspect was identified by the victims, and a warrant for armed robbery has been issued.
