One of the founders of DragonCon is expected to return to Georgia to by Christmas to face child molestation charges. Multiple charges against Edward E. Kramer of Brooklyn, N.Y. have been pending in Gwinnett County for 11 years. According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Kramer was first arrested on August 25, 2000 for allegedly sexually abusing three teenage boys. He did not stand trial however, due to severe spinal and respiratory issues that made him physically unable to stand trial. In September of 2011, Kramer was arrested in Milford, CT after police say he was found at a hotel room alone with a 14 year old boy. The arrest violated his bond conditions from Gwinnett. A suspected child molester -- who is reportedly well-known in the sci-fi world as a founder of DragonCon -- was busted at a Milford, CT, hotel Tuesday after investigators got a tip that he was hanging out alone with a teen in a Connecticut hotel, allegedly in violation of a court order in Georgia, police said. Investigators checked with the Gwinnett County District Attorney's office in Georgia and learned that the suspect, identified as Edward Kramer, 50, of Brooklyn, is currently involved in criminal proceedings where he's been charged with aggravated child molestation, according to police.
