The victim told Lawrenceville Police the incident occurred around Hurricane Shoals Road and Wellness Way. One man has been arrested in connection to the incident.
The victim of a kidnapping and armed robbery incident that took place in Lawrenceville believes his ex-girlfriend set him up. According to the Lawrenceville Police report, four men allegedly grabbed the victim, a 24-year-old man from Dacula, while he was in his ex-girlfriend's car off Hurricane Shoals Road and Wellness Way the evening of Feb. 23. The men dragged him inside their Ford Expedition, according to the victim, and they kept punching and hitting him with the butt of a pistol. They drove him around the city, had him take off all his clothes and continued to threaten and beat him for 20 minutes. Update: Girl Found in Norcross The Glennville Police Department and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation have issued a Levi's Call for a young girl who was abducted at 3 p.m. Sunday. Griselda Cibrian is 14 years old, 5-foot-7 and weighs 187 lbs. She has long black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a pink shirt with the words "green tea" on it, and blue jean pants. Her abductor is believed to be a 24-year-old Hispanic man named Danny, who is 5-foot-7 and weighs 160 lbs. He was last seen wearing a brown jacket, a red shirt, blue jeans, a brown cowboy hat and cowboy boots. According to Gwinnett County Police, Jean Souffrant, 40, of 1418 Great Shoals Circle in Lawrenceville, was arrested on Sept. 17, 2017 and charged with one count of kidnapping in connection with an attempted child abduction. In a press release, a spokesman for GCPD said officers from the East Precinct responded to a call for a suspicious person at Bay Creek Park in Loganville. Ricky Knight is sought after a May 3 incident at the Retreat at Arc Way Apartments.
The Gwinnett County Police Department is seeking help in finding a man who is suspected of several offenses, including aggravated assault and kidnapping. Ricky Knight, 33, is wanted in connection with an incident earlier this month at the Retreat at Arc Way Apartments, located at 4000 Northridge Way on the Lilburn and Norcross border near Beaver Ruin. Police said in a media release that Knight is being charged with aggravated assault, kidnapping, third-degree cruelty to children, false imprisonment, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. A 19 year old Lawrenceville man has been arrested on charges of kidnapping a woman at knifepoint in Gainesville on Monday. According to AccessNorthGa.com, Gainesville Police Cpl. Joe Britte said Rene Vargas reportedly forced the woman into a vehicle, then took her to Flowery Branch. From there, Vargas and the victim got into a cab and were dropped off near the Mall of Georgia in Buford. "Our investigators went out there and actually made contact with the suspect and the victim walking on foot on Buford Drive heading toward Lawrenceville," said Britte to AccessNorthGA.com. Lawrenceville Police assisted in the apprehension of Vargas. The woman, who according to Britte was familiar with Vargas, was not harmed.
