Burnley Named Principal of Gwin Oaks Elementary

The new principal is currently an Assistant Principal at Meadowcreek Elementary School.

  Gwin Oaks Elementary School will have a new principal come fall. Gwinnett County Public Schools announced Tonya Burnley will head the school. Burnley will take over for Peggy Goodman who is heading to Five Forks Middle School following the retirement of Dr. Mary Hensien. Burnley is currently an Assistant Principal at Meadowcreek Elementary School. She has been in that position since 2007. Previously, she has taught at Snellville Middle School and Magill Elementary. She earned her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Georgia State University and is currently working on her Doctoral degree in Educational Leadership at Mercer University.
