Downtown Bakery Readies for "War"
Sweets on the Square filmed an audition video for "Cupcake Wars."
Dozens of people lined up for cupcakes Friday afternoon as Sweets on the Square filmed an audition video for the popular Food Network show Cupcake Wars. The video showcased the best of the bakery and its' staff, as well as customers who can't get enough of their cupcakes. Contestants on the show go head to head in several rounds of baking challenges. The winner will receive $10,000 and be showcased at the winning event at the end of the competition. Owner Suzanne Stevens said while being on the show would be fantastic, "winning would just be the icing on the cupcake." She says they should find out in a few days if Sweets on the Square makes the cut.
