Parents' hearts are in their throats in Lawrenceville and across the country as news spreads of an elementary school shooting in Connecticut that reportedly took the lives of 18 children and nine adults. It's a parent's worst nightmare. A gunman reportedly entered Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, CT on Friday morning and opened fire. According to Newtown Patch, 27 people were killed. Suspect has been barred from unsupervised visits with minors -- but was allegedly alone with teenage boy, police said.
A suspected child molester -- who is reportedly well-known in the sci-fi world as a founder of DragonCon -- was busted at a Milford, CT, hotel Tuesday after investigators got a tip that he was hanging out alone with a teen in a Connecticut hotel, allegedly in violation of a court order in Georgia, police said. Investigators checked with the Gwinnett County District Attorney's office in Georgia and learned that the suspect, identified as Edward Kramer, 50, of Brooklyn, is currently involved in criminal proceedings where he's been charged with aggravated child molestation, according to police. A condition of Kramer's release from jail in Georgia bars him from having any unsupervised contact with minors younger than 16, police said. Armed …
