GSMST to Hold Lottery for Freshman Class
The lottery will take place at the school district office for the Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science and Technology. Registered parents and students need not be present to win a spot in the upcoming 2013-2014 ninth-grade class.
Due to overwhelming response, the Gwinnett County school district will hold a lottery to fill the incoming freshman class at the Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science and Technology in Lawrenceville. Online registration concluded on Feb. 1, and there were 847 students registered. However, the school can only accept 350 students for 2013-2014. The lottery will be held Monday, February 11, 2013, beginning at 7:30 a.m. at the school district’s Instructional Support Center (ISC), 437 Old Peachtree Rd., NW in Suwanee.
