Scholarship Established at GGC in Former GCPD Chief's Honor
The The Carl D. White, Sr. Scholarship Fund will help children of members of local law enforcement agencies pay for college.
A scholarship in honor of former Gwinnett County Police Chief Carl White has been set up at Georgia Gwinnett College. The Lawrenceville school made the announcement Friday. The Carl D. White, Sr. Scholarship Fund will help students who are dependent children of full-time employees of the Gwinnett County Police Department, the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office, Gwinnett city police jurisdictions or Gwinnett County Public Schools resource officers pay for tuition at the four-year school. White's widow Jaclyn endowed the memorial scholarship at GGC. “My husband worked in law enforcement in Gwinnett County for 30 years.
