Woman Jumps from Car Before It Crashes

The accident cut off power for some Lawrenceville residents.

A woman jumped from her car before it crashed into a utility pole on Grayson Highway Wednesday evening.  According to Gwinnett County Fire and Emergency Services' Lt. Eric Eberly, witnesses say they saw a woman jump from her car. The car struck a pole on the 700 block of Grayson Hwy, causing the pole to split at its base and land on the vehicle which then caught on fire. The 27 year old driver was taken to Gwinnett Medical Center with minor injuries. The accident caused power in the area to go out for a while. Last month, a car crashed into a donut truck just one block away from Wednesday's accident.
