Lawrenceville Man Killed in Train-Car Wreck in Gwinnett County
A train struck a car and a man on the railroad tracks Tuesday near Buford Highway and Amwiler Road in Gwinnett County, according to police. One man has died and another man remains in critical condition.
The man who died in Tuesday's train-car collision in Gwinnett County has been identified. Lawrenceville resident Tony Lungaro, 51, died after being struck by a train around 4:55 p.m. March 12 near Buford Highway in Peachtree Corners, according to Gwinnett Police spokesman Cpl. Jake Smith. Lungaro was the passenger in a white 2003 Ford 150 that was being driven by Lorenzo Wilkerson, 40, of Riverdale. They were traveling south on Buford Highway as a bronze 2003 Chevrolet Astrovan, driven by 25-year-old Lawrenceville resident Severin Gluschak, was traveling north on the same road.
