UPDATE: Third Suspect in Lawrenceville Bank Robbery in Custody

Marcus Rashed Rutledge was wanted in connection to an armed robbery at a Wells Fargo in Lawrenceville, Ga. in December.

UPDATE Wed 9:55am - The Gwinnett County Sheriff's website has update Rutledge's entry. He has been charged with armed robbery and is being held without bond. His address is listed as 2800 Herrington Woods Ct, Apt. 4-201, Lawrenceville. According to the Gwinnett County Sheriff's website, the third suspect in an armed robbery at a Lawrenceville bank in December is now in their custody. Marcus Rashed Rutledge was booked into the Gwinnett County Detention Center at 5:15pm Tuesday.  Gwinnett County Police believe Rutledge was one of the gunmen who held up the Wells Fargo on Lawrenceville Highway on December 28th. Video, Photos of Armed Bank Robbery Released, Police Looking for Suspects

Gwinnett Police say three men robbed a Wells Fargo bank in Lawrenceville, Ga. They have arrested one suspect and are still looking for two others.

One suspect in an armed robbery of a Wells Fargo bank in Lawrenceville last month is now in police custody. However, Gwinnett County Police are still looking for two potential accomplices in the crime. On Friday, December 28th, two black males wearing masks walked into the Wells Fargo bank at 3065 Lawrenceville Highway just before 9:30am. This branch is located in the parking lot of the Walmart Neighborhood Market. The two men inside the bank have been identified by GCPD as 26 year old Jamar Terrell of 2769 Herrington Woods Road, Lawrenceville and 24 year old Marcus “Bankhead” Rutledge. GCPD on Scene of Bank Robbery at Wells Fargo in Lawrenceville

Police are still searching for the suspects who were last seen near Herrington Road and Cruse Road.

Gwinnett County Police are currently on the scene of a bank robbery in Lawrenceville, Ga.  GCPD Cpl. Jake Smith said in a release that at around 9:30 Friday morning, two masked black males entered the Wells Fargo Bank at 3065 Lawrenceville Highway and held up the bank at gunpoint. One was armed with a shotgun and another with a handgun. After the bank clerk handed over an unknown amount of cash, the two suspects drove off in a vehicle.  Police tracked down the suspects in their vehicle and a short chase ensued. The two men then abandoned their car and ran into the woods near Herrington Road and Cruse Road. Officers searched for the two suspects to no avail. Police were able to recover the weapons used in the robbery.

Police Arrest Lawrenceville Woman for Bank Robbery

GCPD says a tipster called in after seeing the story on the news and helped them break the case.

Gwinnett County Police have arrested 58 year old Johnette Pinkerton for reportedly robbing the SunTrust Bank at 2171 Pleasant Hill Road in unincorporated Duluth Tuesday.  After seeing the story in the news, a tipster called detectives and Pinkerton was identified as a result. Detectives compared Pinkerton's ID photos to security video and determined them to be a match.  Police say Pinkerton went in to the SunTrust Bank and gave the teller a threatening note demanding money. The teller gave Pinkerton $3,000 in cash and the suspect left, driving off in a light green passenger car.  Pinkerton was arrested at her home on Country Court in Lawrenceville without incident. Wells Fargo Offers Reward for Information on Robbery

Two men robbed a Wells Fargo bank on Killian Hill Road Sept. 16, and the bank is offering as much as $5,000 for information leading to the suspects' arrest.

Gwinnett County police are looking for two suspects in a Sept. 16 robbery at Wells Fargo on Killian Hill in unincorporated Lilburn, and the bank is offering as much as $5,000 for information leading to the suspects' arrest. One suspect is about 6'1 to 6'2" tall and has a medium build. He was clean-shaven and in his early 20s. The other is about 5'2", thin, clean-shaven and also in his early 20s. both men are black, Corporal Jake Smith said in an emailed release. The men entered the bank three times on the day of the robbery, changing clothes each time before re-entering the bank. The third time, they handed the teller a note demanding money. GCPD Identify Lawrenceville Man as Bank Robber Shot

GCPD says 38 year old Alnur Edwards was shot and killed after a police pursuit.

The man who reportedly robbed a Bank of America branch in Suwanee and led police on a chase that ended in Duluth on Tuesday has been identified by Gwinnett County Police. In a release Thursday afternoon, GCPD identified that man as 38 year old Alnur Edwards of Lawrenceville. Surveillance video shows a black man, believed to be Edwards, entering the bank and wielding a gun an demanded an undisclosed amount of money. He then left in a tan Honda. A Gwinnett police officer spotted the suspect and his vehicle in the area of Boggs Road and Duluth Highway in unincorporated Duluth. The suspect fled from the officer upon sight, and the officer pursued the suspect. The vehicle pursuit continued to the area of Old Norcross and Pleasant Hill Roads. …

Bank Robbery Suspect Shot by Police Dies

The man is suspected of robbing Bank of America branch in unincorporated Suwanee.

Updated: 4:10 p.m. A man suspected of robbing a Suwanee-area bank Tuesday who was shot by Gwinnett Police after a chase that ended in a shootout in unincorporated Duluth died of his injuries after being transported to the hospital. Police say the man is alleged to have robbed a Bank of America branch on Old Peachtree Road at Sever Road. The police investigation revealed that a black male entered the Bank of America branch, displayed a handgun and robbed the bank of an undisclosed amount of money, according to an emailed press release from Gwinnett Police containing details.
