Lawrenceville Father Pleads Guilty to Stabbing Sons to Death

Elvis Garcia-Nolasco will spend at least 20 years behind bars for the 2011 murders of two of his young children.

On Tuesday, a Lawrenceville father pleaded guilty to charges he killed two of his children. Elvis Garcia-Nolasco pleaded guilty to two counts of murder and one count of aggravated assault according to WSB-TV. According to police, in February 2011, Garcia-Nolasco stabbed his three children at a home on Bridle Path Drive in unincorporated Lawrenceville. Bradley Garcia, 3 and Edward Garcia, 1, died in the attack. Another child who as also 3 at the time survived. Police initially charged another man with the murders of the children, but later found new evidence linking Garcia-Nolasco to the crime. Investigators say the father tried to set up the initial suspect in a custody battle with the children's mother. Garcia-Nolasco was sentenced to …

Thief Snatches Donation Bucket from Youth Basketball Player

Man stole $100 from fund-raising effort, then tossed the bucket out the window.

Here are some strange activities that police encountered in Northeast Georgia recently. > Not kids play: A driver acted like he was going to donate to a youth basketball fund-raising effort in a Stone Mountain-area intersection. Instead of giving a couple of bucks to a 13-year-old team member, he snatched the donation bucket and drove away with about $100. The driver was seen throwing the bucket out of the window as he drove down the road. UPDATE: More Than $2 Million Worth of Meth Found at Lawrenceville Home

About 131.2 pounds of the drugs were found at the James Road home according to the Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office.

UPDATE 5:14pm: Lawrenceville Patch has confirmed the identities of the suspects and the address of the home. The suspects are Jesus Eduardo Cansino-Gonzalez who is listed as living at the house at 858 James Road in Lawrenceville. He was charged with trafficking in methamphetamine and is being held for immigration. The other suspect is Nahum Enoe Rodriguez of Norcross. Rodriguez was charged with conspiracy to commit a crime. We also received photos from the bust. On May 1st, local law enforcement agencies responded to a home on James Road after receiving a tip that drugs were being stored there.
