Summer Fun

Go for a Hole in One

Try a round of mini-golf for some major fun.

Pirate's Cove in Duluth has Putt-Putt Golf and more for the family to enjoy. They're open 10am to 10pm seven days a week. And in the month of June, you can play for half price during Happy Hour-- 4pm to 6pm Monday through Thursday. Pirate's Cove is located near Gwinnett Place Mall. Admission regularly starts at $7.50 for adults and $6.50 for children.

Escape to Family Fun Day at Collins Hill Park

Come one, come all and escape to some family fun festivities on this Saturday, June 4 from 1:00-5:00 pm as Gwinnett County presents a summer break-out swimming and splashing session at Collins Hill Park and Aquatic Center in Lawrenceville. Let’s all get wacky in water. What a great way to bust out of the monotony of the school year into the freedom of some cool summer excitement.  Throw on those swim suits, gather up those swim towels and ring-in the first week of vacation with your neighbors at Collins Hill Park in Lawrenceville.  Folks of all ages are invited to join in on the blast.  Don’t let the kids miss out on the pool party with goofy games, prizes and activities.   All children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Bethesda Park Senior Center to Close for Summer

The center will undergo major renovations and reopen in the fall.

The Senior Recreation Center at Bethesda Park will shut down temporarily beginning Saturday May 28th. The center will undergo major renovations, recently approved by the County Board of Commissioners.  Opened 20 years ago, the Senior Recreation Center at Bethesda Park was the first such center in the county. According to the county, the improvements and renovations to the interior of the center will include the replacement of lighting and plumbing fixtures with energy-efficient models, countertops, cabinets and reception desk along with floor, ceiling and wall coverings. Part of the funding for the fixes will come from the 2005 Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST). The kitchen will also be upgraded to commercial grade quality. …
