Lawrenceville Man Killed in Accident on I-75 in Cobb County

The three-vehicle crash occurred around 9:35 a.m. Thursday when a vehicle changed lanes and hit a Honda Civic driven by Edgar Jaramillo, 41, of Lawrenceville according to a Georgia State Police spokesman.

A Lawrenceville man died after a morning crash on Interstate 75 North at the Canton Road Connector in Cobb County, the spokesman for the Georgia State Patrol said this afternoon. The three-vehicle crash occurred around 9:35 a.m. Thursday when a vehicle changed lanes and hit a Honda Civic, GSP spokesman Gordy Wright said. "The impact spun the passenger car into the path of a Ford Expedition," he said in an email to metro Atlanta media outlets. "The Expedition struck the passenger car in the driver's side." Driver Allegedly Commits Hit and Run to Avoid Being Late

The Lawrenceville, Ga. woman reportedly told police she kept driving after hitting another car because she did not want to be late for work.

The reason a Lawrenceville woman gave police for why she left the scene of an accident was not enough to keep them from arresting her. A Loganville man was driving on Lenora Church Road at Temple Johnson Road in Snellville Thursday afternoon when he was reportedly side-swipped by Cerronda Jacob's black Mazda MZ6. But instead of stopping and exchanging insurance information, Jacob allegedly kept on driving. Snellville Police were called in to help Gwinnett County Police track down Jacob. An SPD officer finally spotted Jacob and pulled her over at the intersection of Scenic Highway and Ronald Reagan Parkway in Snellville. The Gwinnett officer asked Jacob about the accident. Truck Rolls Into House on Lochsyre Way

The work truck caused minor damage to the home.

A truck reportedly rolled into a Lawrenceville home Wednesday afternoon. Gwinnett County Fire and Emergency Services found a work truck had struck a home on the 1200 block of Lochshyre Way shortly before 2:30pm. Crews say the truck rolled off the roadway and crashed into the side of the garage, causing minor structural damage. Initial reports say the truck belonged to someone doing work at a home across the street when it rolled away unattended. No one was hurt.
