Prince Brothers' Visitation To Be Monday in Gwinnett

Visitation for the Lanier boating vicims will be at Hamilton Mill Chapel in Buford.

A memorial for Griffin and Jake Prince, the Buford brothers who were killed in a Lake Lanier boating collision last month, will be Monday in Gwinnett. Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel and Gardens in Buford will host visitation for the youths from 6-9 p.m., according to the website. What are your memories of Griffin and Jake Prince? They were aboard a pontoon boat being piloted by their father when another boat crashed into the Princes' boat late at night. The driver of the other boat, Paul J. Family, Friends to Honor Trey Phillips

Phillips was killed in a motorcycle accident in Lawrenceville, Ga. Friday.

The Gwinnett community will begin official remembrances of Trey Phillips Monday afternoon. A resident of Lawrenceville, Phillips, 43, was a lawyer in Lawrenceville and an Army Veteran. Phillips died after a car struck him while he was riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle on SR 316 near Boggs Road Friday afternoon. According to a police report, the driver of a Chevy Cavalier was driving on the westbound side of 316 when she lost control and struck the guardrail. Her car continued onto the eastbound side and struck Phillips. He was taken to Gwinnett Medical Center where he later died. The driver also suffered serious injuries and was taken to Gwinnett Med. Central Gwinnett Retires Jerry Coleman's Jersey

Even students at rival Archer remembered the Black Knight.

The gym at Central Gwinnett High School was packed Tuesday night. Not just because the Black Knights were playing cross-town rival Archer Tigers, but to remember Jerry Coleman.  Just one year ago, Coleman was on that same basketball court dunking over opponents. Now the Central Gwinnett community honored him before the start of the boys basketball game. Coleman passed away in December at age 19. The Kennesaw State student had undergone surgery to remove his wisdom teeth just days before he died. Central Gwinnett boys basketball coach David Allen told the crowd about what a wonderful player Coleman was. Principal Nancy Martin remarked how he was a remarkable student. Black Knights Honor Jerry Coleman

The boys basketball team remembered their former teammate in their own way.

Jerry Coleman's former teammates honored him before Tuesday night's basketball game against Archer. Members of the team broke through an airbrushed banner bearing Coleman's likeness and the words "Influence, Confidence, Guidance." All the members of the team were wearing airbrushed shirts with Coleman's name. Coleman passed in December at the age of 19 just days after having surgery to remove his wisdom teeth. Jerry Coleman passed away last month at the age of 19.

Central Gwinnett High School will honor the life of Jerry Coleman. The high school will retire the basketball jersey of the one-time Black Knight before Tuesday night's game against Archer High School at 7:30pm at CGHS. The 19 year old Kennesaw State University freshman passed away in December just days after having his wisdom teeth removed. CBS Atlanta talked with Coleman's mother Tracy Knight. "He has done more in 19 years than some people will probably do in a lifetime. I think that it has taught us a very valuable lesson, that we're just passing through and it's what you do with your life that matters," Knight told CBS Atlanta reporter Jennifer Mayerle. Former Black Knight Basketball Player Dies at Age 19

Jerry Coleman reportedly had his wisdom teeth removed just days before his death.

A Central Gwinnett basketball standout has died at the age of 19. The Gwinnett Daily Post reports Jerry Coleman was found dead Monday morning. The paper reports his family found him after he reportedly passed in his sleep. According to The GDP, Coleman's coach at Central Gwinnett said Coleman underwent a routine procedure to have his wisdom teeth removed on Friday and complained of some discomfort, but appeared to be fine Sunday night when he went to bed. Coleman was a student at Kennesaw State University. The GDP says he was considering trying out for the school's basketball team as a walk-on. Funeral Arrangements for GGC Student Killed in Crash

Bernard F. Jacques was killed in a single car crash in Dacula Sunday.

The funeral for Bernard F. Jacques will be held Saturday according to Georgia Gwinnett College's official Facebook page. Jacques was killed after reportedly losing control of his car on a curve and crashing into a tree on New Hope Road between Alcovy River Drive and Palm Creek Court in unincorporated Dacula. The accident happened Sunday morning.  According to Gwinnett County Police, Jacques was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and died at the scene as a result of his injuries. Speed and alcohol are not believed to be a factor in the accident. Jacques, originally from Pompano Beach, Florida, also was a rapper who performed under the name "Nardski Wowski." Rita Lucille Henderson, age 83, of Lawrenceville, GA, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2011.  She was born in Mobile, AL, on October 11, 1927. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ambrose Henderson. Rita attended Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic High School and graduated from Miss Josephine Allen. She was a founding member of the Crew of Don Q social club. Rita was always known for her creative talents and culinary skills. Rita moved to Atlanta and at the time of her death resided at Ashton Hall in Lawrenceville, GA. While living at Ashton Hall Rita had many friends and met no strangers.
