The Lawrenceville Animal Care Center is hands down the worst and most unprofessional clinic I have ever been to. I recently moved to the Lawrenceville area and was in need of an animal clinic for my two dogs, and this one was located most convenient to where I lived so I gave it a try. My first visit went okay, although I thought Dr. Grubbs came off as arrogant and rude but I figured he might have just had a bad day. I had to visit today to get one of my dogs glands cleaned, which has always been a $10-$20 treatment, but at this clinic I was charged $99. For some reason, the gland cleaning was $17 (which is perfectly normal), however I was charged $82 for an "exam". After returning home and looking over the invoice, I called and asked why I was charged such a high amount, and Dr. Grubbs said, what, do you think overhead doesn't need to get paid? He continued to go on about how he went to college and that the exam was necessary. I was not able to speak at all because he continued to cut me off. I finally had to tell him thank you and hang up. I was blown away, I have lived in both Athens, GA and Macon, GA and have never been charged such a ridiculous amount for a procedure that literally takes one, maybe two minutes. With that being said, if you are looking for a horrible doctor that will rip you off to pay his overhead this is the place for you!
