Local Homeowner's Group Gets Award for Cleaning Up Neighborhood
Along with a special title, the Lynnfield Park homeowner's group won $500 from Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful.
Results from Gwinnett County's "Great American Cleanup" are in, and several organizations are being recognized for making an especially big impact.
One of those is located in Lawrenceville: Lynnfield Park Subdivision Homeowner's Association. It is the 2013 winner of the Stash the Trash award.
The volunteers "rolled up their sleeves to put trash in its proper place" and removed more than 300 pounds of litter and recyclables from neighborhood streets, said Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful Officials in a press release.
Along with several other groups, the Lynnfield Park subdivision took part in a special challenge, in which volunteers designed their projects in order to make a big impact in the community.
Each challenge winner was awarded a $500 cash prize.
