Lawrenceville Dentist Offering Free Services

The Center for Cosmetic and Sedation Dentistry in Lawrenceville, Ga. will provide free dental care to those in need Saturday.

A Lawrenceville dentist will be bringing smiles to those who may not be able to afford to care for their teeth.

For the sixth year in a row, Dr. Nooredin Nurani and his colleagues at will offer some services for free.

A team of 56 volunteers, including ten dentists, will provide a choice of one free cleaning, filling or extraction to those in need. It’s limited to just one procedure each so they can see as many patients as possible.

The event on Saturday will start at 7am and run until 5pm. The dental office is located at 2100 Riverside Pkwy.

“In the past, people have lined up the night before,” said officer manager Donna Tidwell. She says they will start handing out numbers to those in line starting at 6am. “We’ll hand out 175 numbers. Our goal is to see 175 patients.”

In 2011, they saw 177 patients and gave away about $32,000 in free dental services.

There is no registration and no appointments for the free services. Patients must be at least 14 years old, and an adult must accompany those under 18.

“It’s a well-orchestrated event,” added Tidwell.

Dr. Nurani holds this free clinic every year on the first Saturday after Labor Day.

Congratulations Sharon, I applaud your passion for reading. I remember consulting you on oneRead More occasion about reading techniques for my son David, who is now in year 6 at the Aga Khan Academy Mombasa, and I used the advise you gave me ; which was to read with him every day, or encourage him to read everyday. He has continued with the habit and is an avid reader today. He has even authored a book which we are in the process of trying to publish. Thankyou. Jane Otieno Nairobi, Kenya.
