Lawrenceville Library Kicks Off Summer Reading Program

Were you there with your kids? We'll tell you about other fun activities at local libraries too.

The Gwinnett County Public Library is encouraging kids to read more with fun activities at their branches in Lawrenceville and throughout the county.

On Tuesday, they kicked off their summer reading program, "Dig Into Reading," with "Drumming Up Stories with Dave Holland" at the Lawrenceville Branch. Holland got the crowd of kids involved by singing songs, playing drums and even letting the children get in on the act.

The Collins Hill Branch kicks off with puppeteer Wendy Bennett Wednesday at 6:30pm. Local band Marshmallow Avenue brings the fun to the Five Forks Branch Friday, June 7 at 2pm.
