Central Gwinnett Black Knights: Malachi Jones

Central Gwinnett wide receiver Malachi Jones, who transferred to Central from Wesleyan caught 11 passes for 276 yards and four touchdowns in a 63-55 shootout . His touchdowns were 49, 29, 94 and 55-yards.

Other top performers:

Eman Westmoreland: completed 32 of 47 for 569 yards and six toucchdowns.

George Morris: had 13 carries for 124 yards and two touchdowns and caught two passes for 25 yards

Daniel Louis: had five catches for 106 yards and one touchdown


Trey Johnson: 20 tackles including 12 solo tackles and two fumble recoveries

JB Ezell: 16 tackles with eight solo tackles and four tackles for losses

Mountain View Bears

Jeff Stone: 32-yard field goal was the difference as the Mountain View Bears upset the Mill Creek Hawks 9-7 in a region 7-AAAAA matchup.

Other top performers:

Chris Bartlett: was 13 for 16 for 130 yards

Tim Hill: caught four passes for 43 yards

Eddie West: caught five passes for 33 yards and rushed 10 times for 24 yards.

Bryce McCloud: had nine tackles and one for a loss

Tyler Bethune: had seven tackles, caused a fumble and recovered a fumble.

Archer High School

Jarvis Holley had 19 carries for 133 yards and two touchdowns and was 11 of 14 for 126 yards in a hard fought 21-19 loss to the defending state AAAAA champion Brookwood Bronco's.

Other top performers:

Will Kone: caught four passes for 63 yards

Darius Williams: caught three catches for 35 yards

Sean Fowler: caught four passes for 26 yards

Derrick Parker: had 11 tackles with seven solo tackles and four assists
