Mountain View vs. Archer: High 5 Sports Game of the Week

Voting is complete and the High 5 Sports Game of the Week is between two rival Lawrenceville schools, and Archer. The battle on the football field will take place tonight, Friday, Sept. 2 at ; kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

Each week Fox 5 selects five high school games that are scheduled for the upcoming weekend. Selected games must be played within one of the fifty-five counties within the Fox 5 viewing area. These five games are posted on high5sports.com and fans then vote for the game they most want to see. Voting for the High 5 Sports Game of the week  takes place beginning on Saturday with the last votes posted by 12 p.m. the Thursday before the game. Three votes per cell phone number per hour are allowed. Voting takes place online as well as via text message.

This week the vs. game won the voting after receiving 61,580 votes. Eastside vs. Newton ran a close second finishing with 48,501 votes. The Hand and Crew will travel to Archer High School on Friday night to cover the action on the field.

This is the first home game of the season for the Archer Tigers who are currently coming off a loss last week to Duluth with a score of 28-24. Mountain View travels across town this week after taking a loss last week to Central Gwinnett 54-14.
