Lawrenceville's Maya Moore To Play for WNBA Title in Gwinnett

The former Suwanee star and her Minnesota teammates will face Atlanta at the Gwinnett Arena.

Maya Moore is coming home in an attempt to win another WNBA title.

Moore, a Lawrenceville native who played at Collins Hill High in Suwanee before going on to UConn and the WNBA, and the Minnesota Lynx will play the Atlanta Dream this month for the WNBA title. And at least one game in the finals series will be at the Gwinnett Arena, because of a prior booking at Philips Arena in Atlanta.

Game 3 in the series will be on Thursday, Oct. 10, at 8:30 p.m. at the Duluth arena. If necessary, Game 4 would be in Gwinnett on Sunday, Oct. 13, at 8 p.m.

The best-of-five series will begin in Minnesota on Sunday (Oct. 6), at 8:30 p.m. on ESPN.

Moore and the Lynx won their first WNBA title in 2011. She is the Lynx's leading scorer in the 2013 playoffs at 21.5 points per game.

The Dream has been in the WNBA Finals three of the past four seasons.
