Lawrenceville's Cummings Signs With George Washington University

Brianna Cummings plays guard for Greater Atlanta Christian School in Norcross and is ranked one of the top players in the nation.

Lawrenceville basketball standout Brianna Cummings has decided where she will play college ball.

The 5'10" guard at Greater Atlanta Christian School in Norcross recently signed papers to play for George Washington University next winter.

"Brianna is a very long and skilled wing player that can change the game in many ways," said GWU Jonathan Coach Tsipis in a release. "She is an outstanding slasher from the perimeter that attacks the basket. She can also guard four different positions on the floor. She is a tireless defender and has the ability to attack in transition. Brianna has shown that she is a proven winner during her time at both Greater Atlanta Christian High School and the Georgia Pistols."

Cummings averaged 18.5 points and 9.0 rebounds per game in her junior year where she received All-County First Team and All-Metro Second Team honors. She is also ranked 25th in the nation in her position by ESPN HoopGurlz. Cummings is also a three-time First-Team All-Region and All-State selection and led the Lady Spartans to a state title game in 2011.
