Lawrenceville Basketball Player Scores 1,000th Career Point

Greater Atlanta Christian Schools' Brianna Cummings reached the legendary mark last weekend against the Lovett School.

A Lawrenceville student on the Greater Atlanta Christian School girls basketball team made her 1,000th career point last weekend.

Brianna Cummings, a junior guard, reached the legendary mark in GAC's game against the Lovett School on Friday. Before the game, the 5'11" Cummings was only 8 points away from the big number, but she ended up scoring 17 points, according to Greater Atlanta Christian.

The Norcross-area school defeated Lovett 62-32 in the Region 6AA game.

According to Max Preps, Cummings ranks No. 17 in the state.

Despite the team's win against Lovett, GAC fell in the following three games, where they played against Southwest DeKalb on Saturday, Carver on Monday and Southwest Atlanta Christian on Tuesday.
