Love to run? Enjoy a challenge? Then this one's for you.

The Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office will be hosting its first "Jail-Break Challenge Obstacle Run" on July 27, and the community is invited.

Registration is $40 per person, or $140 for a four-person team. All proceeds benefit the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard and Beat the Heat Team.

(Pre-registration is available until Sunday, July 21.)

The race includes a 2.5-mile trail run around the jail and a 16-station obstacle course normally used for deputy training, a rock wall, rope climb, monkey bars, cargo net, as well as other obstacles.

Prizes will be awarded for catching “escaped inmates” along the route.

More information is available at the Gwinnett Jail-Break Challenge Facebook page.
