For the second straight game, the Gwinnett Braves' starting pitcher was hit hard in a loss. Thursday, it was star prospect Julio Teheran (3-2). Host Buffalo scored four runs in the first two innings for a 4-2 victory.
Teheran allowed three walks and two hits in the first. A two-run single by Buffalo in the third gave them a 4-2 lead that held up the rest of the way.
Teheran allowed four runs on seven hits in 2.2 innings, walking five.
The G-Braves (25-16, first in IL South) and Buffalo play again Friday in Buffalo.
