Join the Lawrenceville Police Department as we host our 3rd Annual 5K fundraiser and tribute to 9/11.
Last year we had nearly 500 participants and are preparing for an even bigger event this year. Whether you run, walk, volunteer or come out to cheer on the participants - we want to pack the streets of Lawrenceville and show our American pride & support!. Bring the whole family and join us in paying tribute to those lost in the tragic events our country faced on 9/11/2001. Let us unite to also honor and celebrate those men and women in uniform that protect and serve us everyday. Proceeds from this event go to two local charities: The Lawrenceville Police Benevolent Fund to help officers injured in the line of duty and also the Georgia Gwinnett College - Criminal Justice Scholarship Fund.
We have several awards including the "Most Patriotic" dressed runner or walker, the "Chief's Award" is given to the group, church, school, business with the most participants and also awards for the "Top Cop", "Top Firefighter", "Top Explorer" and a "Special Teams" award. Also awards for the top three places in each age group. Make plans to join us on Saturday, September 8, 2012!
