B.J. Upton Added to Gwinnett Braves Roster for Rehab
The outfielder begins his rehab assignment with the minor baseball team in Lawrenceville Wednesday.
The Atlanta Braves; B.J. Upton begins a minor league rehabilitation stint with the Gwinnett Braves Wednesday night at Coolray Field in Lawrenceville, Ga.
Upton, an outfielder, was placed on the Atlanta Braves' disabled list on July 13 with a right thigh strain. He signed a five year contract with the team in November 2012.
The Gwinnett Braves take on the Charlotte Knights Wednesday. First pitch is at 6:05pm.
Upton is the ninth player to do a rehab stint with the Gwinnett Braves this season. Brian McCann, Jason Heyward and Freddie Freeman are some of the players who have regained their form at Coolray.
