Williams Named New Principal of Bethesda Elementary School

Pamela Williams will take over for Deborah Harris at the Lawrenceville elementary school.

During their monthly meeting Thursday evening, the Gwinnett County Board of Education named a new for Bethesda Elementary School in Lawrenceville.

Pamela Williams was selected to take over the position after current principal Deborah Harris transfers to Grace Snell Middle School in Loganville. 

Williams is currently an Assistant Principal at Nesbit Elementary in Tucker. She has been with Gwinnett County Public Schools since 2006 when she started teaching fifth grade at Norton Elementary. Her teaching career began in 1997 in Florida.

The incoming principal holds a Master’s degree in Teacher Leadership from Walden University and a Specialist’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of West Georgia.

Williams is expected to begin her new position in the next few weeks.

The Gwinnett BOE also named Alfred "Al" Taylor as principal of Berkmar High School. Bethesda Elementary is in the Berkmar cluster.
