Retiring Educator to Address Graduating Seniors

Melanie McLocklin is among graduation speakers this week in Lawrenceville. She is retiring after more than 30 years in education.

Before retiring, Melanie McLocklin has one last bit of business -- applauding the Central Gwinnett High School graduates.

McLocklin is one of the key speakers at the school's commencement ceremony Wednesday. She has taught at Central Gwinnett High for more than 30 years, and is currently a technical educator there.

The school will salute 514 graduating seniors, with 60 of them being honor students.

The ceremony takes place 7 p.m., May 22 at the school's stadium.
