β€œThe Siemens Foundation is proud to administer the Siemens Merit Scholarship program on behalf of Siemens. We are honored to recognize children of Siemens employees nationwide who have accomplished this outstanding academic achievement,” stated Jeniffer Harper Taylor, President of the Siemens Foundation in a press release.

Students can enter the Siemens Merit Scholarship program by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test and by successfully meeting published entry/participation requirements. Scholarship winners are then selected from a group of employees' children who qualify based on their PSAT/NMSQT scores, academic record, activities, community contributions, school recommendations and an essay detailing personal characteristics, plans and goals. The National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC), an independent non-profit organization handles all phases of the competition.
