Jenkins 4th Grader Wins National Contest

Carolyn Phung's design won nearly $15,000 in prizes for her school.

Congratulations to Jenkins Elementary student Carolyn Phung. Her art design was chosen to appear on McGraw-Hill text books following a nationwide contest.

Representatives from McGraw-Hill Education presented Phung, Nancy Crocker's class and Jenkins principal Dot Schoeller with a check for $14,500 for the school. Phung's father Phung Nguyen was also there for the celebration.

Lawrenceville Patch will have more on this story.
