Hawkins Named New Principal at Rock Springs Elementary

Hawkins will be succeeding former Rock Springs Elementary Principal Angie Pacholke who is transferring to Freeman's Mill Elementary.

located in Lawrenceville will have a new principal effective July 1. Connie Hawkins was named the new principal of the school, which is located within the Collins Hill Cluster, at the June meeting of the Gwinnett County Board of Education.

Hawkins previously served as the Assistant Principal at Kanoheda Elementary  from 2007 to the present time and she was employed as a fifth grade teacher at Brookwood Elementary from 2005 to 2007. Prior to 2005, Hawkins worked as a teacher in various grades in Lithonia, Stone Mountain and Conley.

According to a press release from GCPS, Hawkins received her Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Morris Brown College, her Master's degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Michigan and a Specialist's degree in Educational Leadership from Lincoln Memorial University.
