Georgia Gwinnett College Student Wins Chick-fil-A Leadership Award

David McAlexander, a business major at Georgia Gwinnett College, is the recent recipient of a Chick-fil-A Leadership Scholarship.

Created in 1973, the $1,000 award honors Chik-fil-A employees who excel in academics, community service and leadership. This year the program will dole out about $1.7 million in scholarships.

"It's great not having to worry about the expense of books and the other costly supplies for next semester," McAlexander said in a press release. "It’s taught me that hard work pays off, and I’m grateful for the reflective recommendations I received from GGC professors and Chick-fil-A co-workers."

McAlexander has worked at Chick-fil-A since 2010 at a Lawrenceville location, and he is an alumnus of Peachtree Ridge High School.
