On Saturday, February 26th, USA's reigning Teen Miss Georgia, Christine Waters and Alton C. Crews Middle School will be hosting the 2011 Gwinnett Queens for a Cure Pageant, a benefit pageant to support Relay for Life and to promote cancer research. Queens for a Cure (Q4C) is an organization of pageant title holders from the state of Georgia that come together for one purpose: to raise money and support for the American Cancer Society and other worthy charities. Q4C is committed to getting involved in our communities by using our crowns to make a difference in the fight against cancer and to impact the lives of others.
USA’s Teen Miss Georgia 2010, Christine Waters, is our Emcee for this year’s pageant. Christine is a junior at Brookwood High School maintaining a full schedule taking both Gifted and AP classes. She is a member of the Advanced Production group at the high school where she just completed her role as the mother in “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever.” Christine is also an award-winning member of the Brookwood Equestrian Team, is a co-captain of her Tae Kwon Do Olympic Sparring Team, is a classically trained pianist, and is a community volunteer reading to children at the local library as well as working at the Lawrenceville Co-Op assisting in the distribution of food to the needy. Christine encourages all young ladies to enjoy the pageant experience and use your crown for a purpose!
