Candy Land Comes to Jackson Elementary

The cafeteria at the elementary school was transformed into a sweet treat.

These pictures were sent to Lawrenceville Patch from . They included the following explanation of the set up in their cafeteria:

"A theme of “Welcome to Candy Land” greets parents, grandparents, and other
family members as Jackson Elementary hosts its holiday luncheon for
students and their families on November 30-December 2.  Students and
visitors’ faces light up with wonder and excitement as they enter a school
cafeteria transformed to represent candy land. Giant-sized lollipops, candy
canes, cupcakes, and gingerbread men appeal to all. Bright red tablecloths
and soft battery-operated candles provide a festive air.  In addition, a
variety of music provided by the Hull Middle School Orchestra adds joy to
the special occasion. Finally, students may capture the experience by
participating in an Academic Knowledge and Skills (AKS) activity where they
write a sentence or two that incorporates one or more of the adjectives
nestled among the decorations."
