Traffic Backup on Buford Drive in Lawrenceville, Buford
The Gwinnett County DOT says there are delays from Lawrenceville to the Mall of Georgia.
The Gwinnett County Department of Transportation is reporting significant traffic delays on SR 20/Buford Drive going from Lawrenceville to the area surrounding the Mall of Georgia.
"Engineers are monitoring the situation in our Traffic Control Center and making signal timing changes," said a DOT representative in a release. "But the volumes are such that the effectiveness of these changes is limited."
No word on a cause, however crowds are expected for holiday travel and last minute Christmas shopping.
